The church in Norbury, as historians do appreciate, is one of the jewels in the Church of England’s crown, with one of the rarest sets of Medieval stained glass windows in the UK, and possesses some of the finest Alabaster tombs, master pieces in sculpture. A  prominent family, the Fitzherbert’s, built the church in 1295 and were patrons until the reformation. The Manor adjacent was the family home until 1881.
